Xiaoxiao Ma / 马萧萧 (b. China) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work crosses genres and disciplines, from painting and experimental animation to music composition and live performance. She lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Growing up in different countries and cultures, her multicultural background fostered her critical cultural observation. She graduated from both the experimental animation and composition programs at California Institute of the Arts.

As a pianist, composer, and producer, she is passionate about experimental composition, jazz and musical improvisation, influenced by cutting-edge electronic club culture. She focuses on electroacoustic and experimental chamber music: prepared piano, synthesizers, sampling, file recording, and extended techniques on traditional instruments.
